Second Saturday in August the work from this project will be on view at the 3rd Space Art Gallery in San Antonio. This series explores the contemporary cultural use of images consistently reproduced and maintained over time and the fine, sometimes blurred, line between ritualistic practice and secular cultural production. The work is meant to serve a didactic purpose, to inspire further work incorporating art as research and advocate for the importance of art education. An artist has a social responsibility to the development of culture. Through creative expression an artist acts, creates and responds to the world.
